Partitioning hard drive

I am among the many who have not found a good replacement for quicken. So I want to partition my hard drive (lion) and install windows and quicken. Do I have to completely erase my entire hard drive before doing so? I have it all backed up using Carbon Copy cloner and time machine. I have a 250 gb drive and have about 200gb of files/info on it.
