I recently purchased a Verizon Jetpack 4620L capable of connecting two multiple devices. If I connect to computers two this WiFi network and enable file sharing will file transfers between the to computers count as data usage?

I would think that the data is only transferred locally but am not familiar with mobile hotspot technology and would not put it past Verizon two count all data flowing through its device.

I am ultimately trying two share files between a new MBA5,2 and a MBP5,3 while still maintaining an internet connection. Any other suggestions are welcome.

Thanks
P

I'm betting that if Verizon "sees" their device and network active (file transfers) they'll count it against your data quota. Call them and ask to make sure.
