New MBP w/Retinal Disp. coming Tuesday -

Hello -

Is there a way to transfer my MS word docs to my new MBPro? I'm completely new at owning a Mac and really looking forward to it.

I believe apple stores have data migration services. If you've got an Apple store nearby you might be able to take it in, and have them do it for you.

At any rate (if you don't want to or aren't able to go to an apple store), I'd suggest you buy a USB Flash Drive. Just plug it into your old mac, go to your documents folder (click on Finder, then press command+shift+O) and drag all the files onto the USB drive, then (after ejecting the drive) connect the drive to the new computer and drag them back into your documents on that computer.

You will need Pages (Apple's version of Word - not free) or libreoffice (freeware) to read and edit those Word docs.
