Hi

I'm trying to switch to Mac.
I have been for 4 years. Now the last windows PC has to die.
This is my setup.

iMac1 is 4 years old, I think it's 20", 2 GB RAM (upgrading to 4), connected to a USB Digital TV tuner, runs EyeTV and saves recording to 2TB USB disk.

iMac2 is one year old, 27", 4 GB RAM (upgrading to 12).

Other apple devices are an iPad1, an apple TV2 and an iPhone4

Network consists of a router and a Qnap NAS.

Everything works fine.
But I would love to see it work like one big family.
For the iMacs I want 2 users, and I want the settings to be global, some thing I never had working on windows. But how do I set it up, is it possible?

Once I have the iMacs to my liking I can kill the PC.

Please ask if you need more info to help e out.

Kind regards Gaard.

1. Have you created the second users already?
2. What do you want to work on the Macs that doesn't already?

1. I have created 2 users on mac2 (H and J) and 1 user on mac 1 (H) I'm probably going to reinstall mac1, because I have been fooling around with it for 4 years and want it to have a clean install. also upgrading it to Lion.

2. I want an easy way to setup mail and NAS access from both macs. Like I have at work with windows.
a. All our mail is imap. so it's only settings for mail. Our mail program is Thunderbird.
b. Browser bookmarks we use a mix of browsers Safari/Firefox/Chrome
c. Access to pictures on NAS
d. access to iTunes files on NAS

I'm guessing it's rather basic, but I've been doing windows all my life (and never got it working there) Now I want to make the change. And make it better than the wife expects.

The wife has a mac at work and it's after working with that for one evening I decided to get rid of windows in our home... ;-)
