iPad download question

Your Mac's Specs
Macbook Pro 2.8 GHz I7 4GB mem version 10.10 Yosemite // Ipad3 // iPhone 4S
When I get an email with say a powerpoint in it and I have to download it to open. Where does it go and how do I delete it? I know on my MBP it always goes to a download folder where I can delete it when done. Without a "Finder" on my iPad I'm not sure what happens with a download.
