keyboard problem MacBook 10.5.8

Every time I hit the spacebar the / symbol appears and everytime I hit the delete button the
volume icon appears. Any /suggestions /on /how /to /fix /this ?

Try to go into system preferences and make sure you have the right keyboard selected. You may have a different keyboard selected so it thinks you are pressing something else?

Yes, I spilled some /pROTEIN /DRINK /ON /THE /EDGE /OF /THE /SHIFT /RETURN /KEYP /Okay /this /is /how /it /is /typING.....

Well I think that would explain the problem... Try to take it to an Apple store and get them to fix it.

Replacing the keyboard on an older MacBook is probably not worth it. You didn't tell us the year and model of your MacBook but since it's running Leopard I'm going to assume it's an older machine. The damage might be even more extensive if you spilled something on the keyboard.
