Hey,
Is there any way to have a mac running 10.4.3 connect to a network drive when ever it connects into the network. It is the only mac running on a PC based network. Basically, Im looking for a "Map Network Drive" feature on the Windows based networks. I am currently on my way switching over to macs but i am still learning. Is there any website that goes over connecting to networks and network drives e.g. smb opposed to afp. Thanks

Closer than you think.
Your Mac's Specs
Performa 6116 2GBSCSI 8MB OS 7.5.3
from the finder type cmd+k
enter smb://ipaddress
select share, authenticate, save pass in keychain
from finder type cmd+g+shift
enter /Volumes
make alias of windows network share mount point, copy where ever you like

use to open mount when ever you want.
I recomend not putting it in start up. it can cause boot up hangs
