wireless network options

I am interested in setting up a wireless network at home. I have three options, and frankly do not know which one to choose. First option; is to purchase an Apple express base station, second; I could go though Telus (phone company) and purchase a router and number three; I could go through Shaw (cable company) and purchase a router. If someone could help out with any information I would appreciate it. I live in Alberta, Canada.
