I've had this problem for a while now but it's now bothering me so am looking for some help.

I use Safari, am up to date with Flash and have Flip4Mac installed. All is good, I can view virtually any video on the web apart from the ones on Apple's own website for example the video tutorials in the Find out how section.

They just won't load and all I get is the spinning wheel ad infinitum. Can anyone suggest a fix please?

Strange it would be only those sites.

Thanks for replying Razormac. Yes it is strange..I just parked it for a few months and forgot that I had the issue but it is most definitely only with the Apple sites.

I just found this. Surely I would have this already and if I do download it will it upset anything else?
I do have it actually and it has been doing it's job playing .mov files shot on my iPhone.

Can't imagine that it would cause any problems. I'd say, go for it.

You should already have that installed. It probably won't do any harm to download it again since if it's already on your machine it won't install anyway.

HI,
I was just editing my post above to say that I have it in applications and it has been playing .mov files that I've shot on my iPhone. I'm going to see what happens when I download it from Apple.

Yes chscag it appears so. I have version 10.1 so it's a mystery.

I got it !

It was related to the DivX extensions in Safari. I had previously downloaded them before discovering Flip4Mac months ago.

In Safari/Preferences/Extensions I disabled the DivX Plus Web Player HTML 5 <video> extension and they now play.

Bizarre but it solved it. Thanks for pitching in.
