Can I use my 2001 iMac as an external display for my Thinkpad??

I want to use my iMac as an external monitor, but the iMac only has Thunderbolt ports. Is there an adapter, either from VGA to TB, or VGA to USB, that would allow me to do this?

If that iMac is from 2001..it does NOT have Thunderbolt ports! ;)
