Hi everybody!

Im using a MacBook Pro "13 (Mid 2009)

HW overview:

Model Name: MacBook Pro
Model Identifier: MacBookPro5,5
Processor Name: Intel Core 2 Duo
Processor Speed: 2.26 GHz

And i want to upgrade to an 8gb, 2x4gb... the problem is that here in Mexico the mac ram is so expensive, and I was wondering if I can buy any kind of RAM (PC for example), does it would works on my mac?

I guess if I buy it with the same specs in theory should work, but I'm afraid to kill my MBP, or spend more money.

204-PIN PC3-8500 (1066Mhz) DDR SODIMM

Any Help, advice?

Thanks!

Your Mac's Specs
2017 15" MBP, 16gig ram, 1TB SSD, OS 10.15
Can you buy from one of these places?:

- Crucial
- OWC

The only question mark is if shipping to Mexico is too expensive. It still may be less expensive than buying ram in Mexico (if ram is as expensive as you say).

HTH,

- Nick
