Question about finder

Your Mac's Specs
MBP 15" I7 first one and loving it.
If you open a terminal and type /User/UserName/Library you get to the Library folder.

In finder I seem not to be able to access the Library folder. What am I doing wrong?

Finder hides the ~/Library folder - you can unhide it by following these instructions.
