Installing Linux to a Flash drive

Hello everyone!

I am trying to installing Linux onto a flash drive, I did all the necessary steps that are provided on the linux website everything works well (or so it seems) but after the install is complete it i get a notification that says the flash drive cant be read? does anyone know why this is happening or perhaps another way of doing this (i dont want to use a cd because i dont have any :p)

it was FAT, but i cant reformat it to anything else besides mac journaled, i ended up using a different flash drive, hopefully it works, its currently installing the os on it

Ok, so I used Ubootin, and after it installed everything its telling me that the drive wont be read on a mac and i should use a pc? how do i get it to work on the mac?:|
