Safari problem

All of a sudden Safari has lost the address bar, the entire upper portion is grayed. I have
tried almost everything. Please help.

While you are in Safari try going to the and see if the vert first option is "Show Toolbar". If it is select that option.

I suspect that somehow the Hide Toolbar option has gotten turned on by accident.
