I recently upgraded from Snow Leopard to Lion (10.7.4)

With Snow Leopard I used to use NTFS-3G

But since the upgrade when i plug in my external drive I get this warning...

Now I cant even access my files to do my thesis for university!!

Please do let me know of an alternative or a simple way to get NTFS drives to mount automatically when plugged in (same for USB drives)

If I looked up the right thing the extension is only listed as compatible through 10.6. I would uninstall it and give Paragon NTFS for Mac OS X software. It's well-liked by many members here. It's not free ($19.95 US) but it has a free trial.

Glad to help. I had not seen the steps in the article you linked to. Hopefully one of those two methods solves your problem.

Just a suggestion if you decide to try both for comparison purposes try them one at a time.
