I am trying to burn a cd Only 6 songs but I keep getting an error called medium write error any clues what that means please?

My guess, try a different brand of CDs.

Check your burn speed under Preferences. I had the same problem on my macbook and it was because my burn speed was set to "max possible". I changed it to 24x and it works fine now.
