I thought I'd have a bit of fun with this photo and make it something it's not, colorful. I was more interested in the textures and light & dark values in the composition that what it really is. What do you think?

thanks Bob

great colours and contrast with those images. you must be very happy with the camera?

i currently shoot with a d90, but saving hard for a d800. My main interest is landscape work but wonder whether the d800e is worth the extra expense.

According to the latest test the D800E - Nikon D800 vs. D800E
or Discerning the Differences between the Nikon D800 and D800E | BH inDepth

I am giddy happy with the camera. I moved from a D90 to a D7000 that I still have. I added the D800 for the high resolution. It more than doubles the effective focal lengths of my lenses for pennies on the dollar. I have a 50mm F/1.4, a 24-70 F/2.8 & a 70-300mm F/4-5.6, all FX & all Nikon. I have an 18-200mm F/3.5-5.6 VRII, an 85mm F/3.5 Micro & an 11-16mm Tokina for the D7000. All are excellent lenses.
