Hi,

My Mac Pro (running Snow Leopard) blue screened this morning when first switched on. I can boot up in safe mode but when I try to boot up using the install dvd (holding down C) all i get is a black screen.

any ideas how I can use the disk utility to run a repair?

Thanks

Are you sure the install DVD is the correct one for your machine? Either that or your optical drive could be defective. Also check the DVD itself to see if it's not dirty or scratched.
