I notice they didn't mention anything about the cost of the iPhone. Since the iPhone will not be subsidized by Virgin/Sprint (contract free plans) it may be more than most folks will be willing to pay.
No experience with Virgin Mobile . . . decent service and coverage?
Does anyone use Virgin Mobile and how do you like it? Can you bring your own phone?
I am interested in feedback on this as well.
Seriously considering switching, but would like to have actual cost/performance experience from users.
I think that like with any other carrier and phone, it really all depends on the users geographical location. But perhaps even more important that that is, if history is anything to go by, Sprint will give tower priority to its premium customers (ie; not Virgin subs).
What this means is that, say a specific cell tower has "x" amount of cell phones connected to it at any given time and it's getting a bit hammered. Then another 10 phones come in to range. 5 are Sprint subs and 5 are Virgin subs. Priority will be given to the Sprint subs to get the best possible chance of hooking up with said tower, while the 5 others may actually roam on a nearby Verizon tower instead. Funny thing about that is, of course VZN customers get first dibs on that tower, too.
