Hello,

We have 3 older Mac Pro towers (MacPro1,1, Processor Name: Dual-Core Intel Xeon
Processor Speed: 2.66 GHz, Number Of Processors: 2 Cores: 4, L2 Cache (per processor): 4 MB, Memory: 1 GB) and we would like to upgrade them to the newest Mac OS.

Is this even possible? I know that my G5 without an Intel processor cannot be upgraded any further than 10.4.11.

Thanks for the input!

Yes your Mac Pro's can be upgraded to the latest OS (version 10.7.4)...but you need more ram. Lion (OS 10.7.4) needs a min. of 2 gig of ram...from the info you provided it seems they only have 1gig.

Actually this is wrong...your G5 can be upgraded to OS 10.5.8.

HTH,

- Nick
