How Do I Uninstall NTFS 3-G From Lion?!

I downloaded and installed NTFS 3-G from the internet so that I could see, read & write to my external NTFS HD, but I keep getting mounting errors with NTFS 3-G. Everyone told to uninstall the program was to drag it to the trash & it would be gone. I did that, but everytime I put a formatted NTFS drive in the Mac NTFS 3-G keeps popping up with the same error message about mounting & not being seen. How do I completely uninstall the program & its drivers from my iMac (Lion)? I've even gone as far to purchase MacKeeper and it doesn't see NTFS 3-G in the applications to uninstall which is a feature on MacKeeper, so why does it keep popping up? Please help & know that your help is highly appreciated. Thank you...

Respectfully,

Several possible ways to go about this, but one way would be to download and install this
AppCleaner (Mac) - Download

Then redownload and install NTFS-3G.

After that you can use AppCleaner to remove it, which should catch the stray files that are hanging you up.

IIRC, you uninstall NTFS-3G from its panel in System Preferences.

lifeisabeach is correct - you can uninstall it from the system preference pane. If that doesn't work, there is a script available on your machine that should do the trick (if you don't know how to use it, we can help but try the pref pane first). More info here.

Also, MacKeeper, while well-advertised, is pretty much a scam product. I would see about getting a refund (cancel the charge on your credit card).

If you're going to spend money, do it on a good NTFS driver - Paragon's NTFS for Mac is fast, simple and easy to setup. It makes dealing with NTFS drives just like dealing with any other drive.
