Hey,

I have always used the 'create network' feature on my MacBook Pro for a few years now for linking my ipad to my itunes for playing music through my computer during a performance with ease.

I have used the feature loads of times. However just recently the option to 'create network' in the drop down menu has disapeared.

Any ideas? Help would much be appreaiated asap.

What options do you see in the WiFi menu? The feature hasn't been removed by Apple in 10.7.4 (latest OS X), so this must either be an issue with WiFi being disabled or some kind of a change to network settings. I'll be curious to see how the menu appears now.

Go to Apple menu => System Preferences => Network => Choose "AirPort" or "WiFi" in the left pane. In the right pane, click Advanced. You should see options like these:

Check the setting I pointed to here and let us know how it's configured.
