Quick Dock Question

Hi all,

Just abandonded my DELL for my first Mac, a 15 inch PowerBook G4, which (on the whole) is fantastic.

Quick question. I used to have an icon on my dock, just left of the trash can, that was silver with an '@' symbol on the top. I have just accidentally dropped this onto the desktop, which is obviously a delete command in OS X (complete with smoke effects!!).

Is this icon simply a short cut to the OS X Tiger website?

How do I get it back?

Thanks, Dave.

Yes it is :)
To get it back go to the website and just drag the favicon by the address to the right side of the dock
From someone who lost it the same way :) poof.

Drag it by the favicon...
I never knew how to get the little springy icon back.. cool!

Dragging stuff from the dock will only delete the shortcut by the way - your applications and files aren't deleted, unless your drag them to the trash.

Thanks guys.....

Its always the little things that frustrate the most!!

Dragging the icon worked a treat. Is the icon - in this case the '@' on a spring - embedded in the web site then?

Cheers.

Dave.

No - it'll work with any address dragged from the address bar (I just tried mac-forums.com).
