Cannot delete PDF fies from desktop

Hi there

I am new to this forum...I have an issue with two pdf files on my desktop, which I created through inDesign. I think they didn't export properly and now I can't delete them. I don't even know if they are locked, as when I try to open the information window, it doesn't open. I can move them, but not trash them, the message appears, that they can't be moved to the trash, because they can't be deleted?
Any clues about this?

Make sure you close down InDesign, reboot, and then try again to move the files to the Trash.
