I had the semi happy experience yesterday of buying a New iPad, with cover and AV adapter, plus an Airport Extreme for my mother. I say semi happy only because I have to hand it over to her later today ;)

Initial impression is 'Wow, I Need one of these!' and 'hey, where's the clock/alarm app?'

I've been loading some apps I think she'll like on it for her, and later today I'll to hook up the Airport so she will have wifi at the house.

Serious question though... where the heck is the clock app that I use all the time on my iPod Touch? (gen2) I suppose that's something that my eventual purchase of an iPhone 4s (when the prices drop when the 5 comes out... lol )will supply for me... when I finally round out the stable to iMac, iPad, iPod and iPhone (though the iPod will likely wind up mothballed once the phone gets here)

Congrats on the new iPad. :)

Not sure there is a Clock APP (and I haven't missed it) but should be able to download one from the IOS AppStore.

I'd have thought it would be part of the standard built in apps... it is in the iPods, both my old clunker and my son's 4th gen. I'll do another search for a clock/alarm clock app and see what i can come up with. She wouldn't miss it, but I know when I have my own, I'll be looking for it.

I have a 1st gen iPad and had to download the clock app from the store. Some apps like the Clock and Calculator were missing from the iPad but available on the App Store.

The new (3rd Generation) iPad does not have a clock included. But there are plenty to choose from in the App store. I don't use half of the apps that are included but have since downloaded and paid for those that are useful. (for me)
