Using all 8 Cores in Logic

I'm not familiar with Logic, but do note that applications have to be specifically designed to address multiple processors. Even if it is designed that way, it may not be made to address 8 cores. You can't make it do this if it wasn't designed to do so.

Along the lines of what "cwa107" mentioned. A Macintosh application has to be written to take advantage of multiple cores.
And if an application is written to take advantage of multiple cores...the application will assign "core usage" according to what is most efficient for the application. This is not something (as far as I know) that is adjustable by the user (at least not on a Macintosh computer).
