I have for a very long time been a BIG fan of helicopters. Love all things about them and have spent many a hour in them from my time in the Military.
Now i have recently have a lady come into my life and i mentioned to her one day, that the top of my bucket list if i ever won the lottery that i would go out and get my PPL (Private Pilots License).
My 40th is rapidly approaching (3 weeks) and bc of my recent downfall into the darkness she was sitting there the other day and said i have something to tell you to cheer you up, and that is she has got me my first Lesson to fly a Helicopter. Its a day course being the first half theory and the 2nd half flying the chopper itself BIG smile came over my face and i still have it.
The voucher so to speak can be taken within the next 12mnths. I will be wanting to wait quite a while to be able to get as much theory under my belt as possible before the day so as to make the whole experience more enjoyable. The lesson will be in a Enstrom 480b
and my question is, is there any pilots out there ?? and if so can you point me in the right direction for references/training manuals or anything that will help me theory wise to better my knowledge??
You can be fixed wing or rotary wing but any information will be taken on board with great enthusiasm
Thanks all
Excited much ?? Yeaaaaaa lol
I have once taken the controls of a Kiowa that the Australian Army uses in there fleet with the pilot being hands on literally lol
