I'm still on the original 10 gb drive, which is no problem, because all of my files and applications are on my 20gb iPod. I'm just wondering what's taking up all this space? I have a feeling my buddy who sold me this powerbook did the full install with all the stuff. Is there anything I can delete? Printer Drivers, etc? She's starting to chug a bit with all this stuff bogging her down. I heard Tiger needs a good chunk of your hard drive open too.

Thanks!
Jim

WhatSize, a free application that will show you what's eating up hard drive space:

Lots of good tips on this blog about how to free up space:

Also, download some sort of maintenance program, like Cocktail or Onyx to get rid of cache files and other useless stuff. I think they both also run daily/weekly/monthly maintenance scripts, although if you don't want to run these programs all the time, you can also get PseudoAnacron which ONLY runs the scripts and doesn't delete all the extraneous files.

jn4, thank you very much. I was able to go from 2.87 gb of free space to 5.82 gb. I advise anyone who wants to help their HD out to get delocalizer and OnYx. They helped ALOT.
