How do I install Boot Camp? My iMac is using OS X version 10.6.8. I want to be able to use Windows on my iMac and have tried Parallels, and VMWare to no avail. Now I am trying to partition my Macintosh HD and to do so I need to install Boot Camp first.

The best place to start is the Boot Camp Assistant found in /Application/Utilities. Launch it and read the directions before doing anything. In fact it is probably best to print them so you have something to refer to during setup.

It's not really difficult to do but can be a headache if you miss a step along the way.

You do not partition the drive Bootcamp does it. Print and read thoroughly the guidelines in Bootcamp Assistant, download drivers and burn to a CD and followntheb guidelines.
