iMac internal speakers vs. JBL Creature II

For listening to music, watching DVDs and TV will I really notice improvement using the JBL Creature II speakers instead of my G5's speakers? Is there really much of a difference?

I just bought an iMac and the JBL creature II speakers! But they still haven´t gotten here (Amazon-International Shipping), if you are considering buying those speakers amazon.com has them 30 bucks cheaper than most stores. The iMac´s internal speakers can't compare to the CreatureII, which will give you a lot more bass.

I have a G5 and Creature Speakers and the answer is, Yes the sound of the JBLs is far superior to the built in speakers in the Mac and they are also really loud if that's how you want them.
My friends liked them so much they all went out and bought them for thier Macs as well.

I just bought a new iMac G5 2.1Ghz. The internal speakers are suprising for what they are but can not even compair to anything like the JBL Creature II's or any other speakers like them. I am suprised the internals sound as good as they do in that thin case, but the JBL's will have BASS for one thing and play way louder also.

So yes, you will for sure hear quite a difference!!

They definitely are an improvement - I prefer JBL's Encounter speakers though...

Neither the Creature nor the Encounter speaker come anywhere close to the Harman/Kardon Soundsticks, soundwise.

But, on the other hand, the Soundsticks are more expensive... neye:

Actually here in Germany they cost the same (179€).
And we have both set up at our shop, and to me the soundsticks are lacking a tiny bit in the mids when compared to the Encounter system.

But the soundsticks do rule the looks dpmt.
