I store data including music and photos on a NAS drive on my home network
To log on, I just hold down Cmd K.
However, I would like the MBP to connect whenever I start up.
Is this possible ?

On startup, go through the CMD+K process and connect to the NAS shares. Then go to Settings->Accounts->Login Items and find the shares listed there, there is a box to check. Once the shares have a check mark next to them, they will be automatically mounted the next time you boot up.
