Hello All

We have 100 iPhone's at our organization. We use ActiveSync with Exchange 2003 that forces the user to provide a password if they want to use corporate email on their iPhone's.

However, we want more security, because of our sensitive information.

We have purchased a LION OS MAC server.

Will the iPhone security policies we provide from the LIOS OS MAC server interfere with the users ActiveSync Exchange account policies? Can we use both without interfering with the other?

Thank you for your valuable help on this. I can't find any documentation on either of these!

Thanks

The only policies Exchange 2003 can really enforce are password policies. The MDM capabilities of Lion Server can compliment the existing infrastructure without stepping on the exchange policies. However there are complex password requirements on Lion server policies as well if you prefer to one stop shop.

It's best to have several configuration profiles created for deployment on the Lion server so that if they need to be changed for any reasons that you don't have to undo anything you don't want to undo while you're making changes to something else, i.e. changes to wifi or VPN configurations that may change semi regularly but mail accounts that do not.
