Dashboard hotkey

Hi guys.. Just got my ibook G4 yesterday and i'm lovin it.. :black: The Dashboard's hotkey was set to F12 but i can't launch it everytime i hit F12. I tried setting it to another hotkey but it doesn't work too. i can only manually run it using the icon on the dock. Anyone can provide me with some help?

you have to hit the FN key on the iBook to hit F12. what I did was set it to F11, and every other key down one.
