Samsung CLX 3170 driver for 10.5.8

Help?

I just reinstalled 10.5.8 from an original disc, and now i cannot find my Samsung CLX-3170 printer. I have tried dozens of downloaded drivers, but none of them are for 10.5.8. It used to work, can anyone help?

This LINK claims to have drivers for Mac OS X 10.5.X. Did you try them?

If those drivers do not work, try the Linux Open Printing drivers from this web site: LINK

Note: There are two types of Open Printing drivers for Samsung. It depends on which printer language your CLX 3170 is using. You may have to try both.

I had tried that site, but it was not responding, it has now,and the problem is solved.

Me again, the printer works, but I can´t get it to scan now, and cannot find a scan driver for it! there is no quick scan option as there was before. I downloaded the smart panel, from the same site, but still no scan option?

Take a look at the drivers I directed you to in my other reply. They should give full function (print, copy, scan) for your Samsung. Not as easy to install, but if you can figure it out it may be worthwhile to use them instead.
