preview app missing after recent upgrade (10.7.4)

Are you sure it's lost? Use Spotlight and also look in your Applications folder. The update to 10.7.4 does not remove apps, documents, or data.

it was definitely lost.. but i may have done stg else for that to happen, perhaps it just coincided with the update.
I however discovered it in time machine and i restored it.. amazing.. what's more amazing is I found out i could access my time machine tho my TM HD is now with me now!

Restored preview
Thank you so much - restored preview from time machine - now all I have to do is get finder back working 'normally' - it's just giving me a pane with a list and not the 'usual' columns of searchability....... all help greatly appreciated
