I'm hoping to completely wipe an old mac, but can't find the OS X install CD that seems to be needed to erase the hard drive. Is there another way to erase everything on a computer without the CD?

Thanks.

What model and version computer? Some you can boot into target disk mode and you can mount it on another computer like an external hard drive.

It's a Macbook OS X...

That's not the info Stretch was looking for. MacBooks were sold between 2006 thru 2010...there were probably 20+ different MacBook models...so we ned MUCH more specific model information to help you.;)

I figured that was too easy. Here's some more info:

Model Identifier: MacBook4,1
MacBook (13-inch Early 2008)
Processor Intel Core 2 Duo

I'm not sure what else to provide, but I can find more information if you let me know what you need.

Thanks so much.
