I constantly have an issue where the following happens, i am hopeful someone can steer me in the right direction or at least explain it.
ill be working with files on an external usb drive. i may delete some files from that drive but upon their deletion the trash shows as empty. i disconnect the usb external drive and upon re connecting it the trash now shows as having contents and upon viewing the trash at that point i see that the files in the trash are in fact the files that were deleted from the external drive before it was disconnected. any idea why? how can i get the to show up and therefore be able to be emptied without ejecting the driven reconnecting and then emptying the trash? thanks in advance.
