I have a macbook pro with the 10.3 recovery disks, I cant get it to boot from the disk. I have tried to hold C or the command button while booting, but niether worked.

the problem with the computer is that it will not fully boot up. It will get to a blue screen with a mouse, but not load the desktop. it just sits there for 15 minutes and then reboots but freezes before the apple boot logo.

any advice is much appreciated, thanks...

A MacBook Pro can not run OS X 10.3. The very first MacBook Pro ran OS X 10.4.5. You're either giving us wrong information or using an incorrect disk to boot with. Clarify?
