how to mount a .dmg as a disk image on lion

I am trying to find a way to mount this .dmg as a disk image and ever since I switched to 10.7.3 it seems that I have not been able to do this task anymore. Is there any way to do this? Or has mac outsmarted me again?

10.7.3 Lion works just fine with DMG files, just like every other version of OSX. What happens when you click on the DMG? Any messages?

like as in, try to get my computer think i am mounting an actual disk. to play a game.

If you double-click on a DMG it will mount as a disk.

So what happens when you double-click on a DMG?
Any error?
Anything happen at all?
Does this happen with all DMGs?

Some games simply don't allow you to circumvent their requirements by using a "fake disc."

Sucks, but that may be the case here.
