Hello,

I was hoping someone would be able to offer up some advice regarding the potential for using a Mac Pro as a server...

Essentially, we want to use it as an alternative to a computing cluster. I assume that it is possible for multiple (in our case, 2) users to access the Mac Pro (with the equivalent of 24 cpus) from another computer and run jobs on it? Are there any problems with this assumption ? We really just want to make use of the many cpus to run multiple jobs in parallel.

I notice that there is a OSX Lion Server- should we install that?

Hopefully my questions are not too vague!

Many thanks,
