Having successfully re-installed MS Office 2011 for mac following a hard disk replacement, I find that it requires the activation code to be entered following every reboot. Any ideas how to prevent this?

MS Office 2011 is the first version of Office for Mac to use hardware activation and genuine Office checking. Something has run afoul with either of the above when you reinstalled. Uninstall Office using the MS instructions located here and then reinstall from your original disk.

If you still have problems activating after that, you'll need to call the MS Activation center (customer service) and obtain a new PID serial number. I know it's a pain (Windows users are accustomed to this sort of stuff) but there is no other way to get it working right.
