Hi,

I was installing Java Developer Pkg 10.6, and I got
"an unknown installation error occurred." Tried several times.

Any thoughts?

Macbook. 10.6.8, 2.2 GHz Intel Core 2Duo, 2 GB RAM.

Thanks!

(See attachment for screenshot of error.)

Snow Leopard (10.6), if I remember correctly, came with Java (both the JRE and the JDK). If you're trying to update it, see if you can get the update through Software Update.

@van: how can I verify if JDK is installed? Is there a file name
I can search on? Or where would it be located?

Thanks!

Do a simple "which javac" at the command line. You should get the path (/usr/bin/javac) printed back.
