I dropped my iPod and of course the screen cracked, now afterwards it still worked just fine. But for the past couple of days it doesn't respond to when I touch certain things, or it opens something else that I didn't press. Some letters on the keyboard aren't working either, I have to either lock it then unlock it to make it work. Also now I can't turn it off...should I just replace the screen and hope for the best or just go ahead and get a new iPod?

I'd say it depends on what model it is, how old it is and how much it was to buy. In other words ..is it worth the money and hassle repairing it?

The symptoms that you describe would give me the perfect excuse to invest in a brand spanking new one.
