microsoft messenger 8.0.1 on lion

hi
ive got lion os and tried a video call with a friend today. i could see him but my cam didnt come on & he couldnt hear me but when we did audio it was fine..why is that? how can i resolve it?

Your Mac's Specs
2017 27" iMac, 10.5" iPad Pro, iPhone 8, iPhone 11, iPhone 12 Mini, Numerous iPods, Monterey
MS Messenger for Mac 8.01 is the latest version, so that should be OK. Perhaps something on your friend's side is causing the problem? Does your camera work OK when you open your Photo Booth app? Also, is your friend on a Mac and using MS Messenger?
