disassociate my old ipod nano question.

I just got a 4s and I don't really need my nano anymore. How do I disassociate it from my Mac so I can give it to my Daughter?

Restore the ipod using itunes and then she can put all of her stuff on it.

So after I restore it, it will link into her computer (with iTunes)?
