Are you using a USB hub or an Apple keyboard to plug the drives in? Or are plugging the drives direct into your USB port on the Mac? If your USB mouse and keyboard work OK, there should be no problem with the flash drive or external drive except if you're not plugging them in direct to your Mac.

And unlike Macs, these only appear when connected through My Computer, not on the desktop.

Yes, i plug it direct to imac, restart , re-check and nothing happen.
only boot camp cannot see it ??!!
It all works very well with my thinkpad, so I think it is software issue.....

no USB hub

Also, any idea that boot camp can see the firewire harddrive(mac format ) ?

Thanks

Did you use Disk Manager to see if the drives are showing up there? If they show up in Disk Manager and have not automatically been assigned a drive letter, you can assign them one directly from Disk Manager.

Windows file explorer or My Computer will not be able to recognize a drive formatted to the Mac format. (HFS+) However, Disk Manager will be able to see it.
