If I need to disconnect an outboard Audio device on USB ( e.g. DigiDesigns Mbx2) momentarily, while I upload some pics from my camera, When I reconnect the Audio device back to USB the iMac can't see it. Instead System Preferences tells me that it has defaulted back to Internal Audio. Because the Audio device is not in the list of Output devices I cannot select it? The only way to reconnect with the Audio device is a restart of the system, not good if I have other tasks running. Any ideas how I can software boot the system preferences App to load the Audio device present on USB?
