I have a iMac running 10.5.8, about three feet from my older model 360. My wireless router and modem are downstairs (where they need to stay). Now, my iMac is connecting to the internet over WiFi, and what I would like to do is share my iMac's connection with my 360 over the ethernet port. I don't have (nor will i buy at the outrageous price that Microsoft is charging) the 360 wireless adapter, so I figured this would be the best way to get this Xbox online. I had it configured this way in the past, but I can't get it working again. HELP!

Should be as easy as going to System Preferences - Sharing - Share from the wireless connection to the Ethernet connection.

That should be that. Is that what you're trying? Any specific errors?

Yeah, I've done that. I don't get a error message on my mac, my 360 just won't connect to the internet. I'm sure I have to change some IP settings on the 360, I just don't know what they might be.

Just the default settings on the Xbox should work. Try resetting them/deleting any connections you on the xbox

I tried that, and it didn't work. I saw on xbox's support forums to try typing in my DNS info from my mac, but that also didn't work. It's making me mad because I had it working before. The info that I was using before was:

IP Address: 192.168.2.2
Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.0
Gateway: 192.168.2.1

Primary DNS Server: 68.105.28.11
Secondary DNS Server: 68.105.29.11
