HI,
I need help with bootcamp and windows 7. I've looked everywhere in google and I can't find a solution. My problem is the following: I followed all the instructions from apple on how to install windows 7. I installed everything windows 7 and it runs good. When I eject the windows cd and restart my computer holding the option key, I select windows and then a folder with a question mark starts flashing. The only way I can boot windows is if I hold the option key with the cd in the disk drive and select the disk that has windows in it. That is the only way it works. I have a MBP late 2010 8GB Ram intel core 2 duo 2.66Ghz running os lion. Please help!:-s
Thank you.

Did you download the driver disk image from Apple as per the Boot Camp Assistant instructions? It sounds like you're missing a video driver.

Burn the drivers to a CD and used that by auto running or running the .exe file? If you burned the drivers to the CD sounds like auto run has not worked.

Personally. It suggest running the bootcamp assistant again to delete the partition then start from scratch.

Are you using a genuine Windows 7 retail or OEM(system builders) DVD?

OEM. I've tried like 5 times and I get the same thing. When I was using snow leopard it worked perfectly, after upgrading to lion I can't install it.
