how do u delete something that is locked???

I am trying to delete a program but I cant because the program is locked
how can I delete it

MacBook 2.0 Ghz, 2 gigs RAM, 160 gig H.D.
How about "unlocking" the program before you drag it into the trash?
Just go into your applications folder, click once on the application in question, then up on the menu bar click "File" and then "Get info".
In the "General" section of "Get info" you just have to uncheck "Locked".
Hopefully that'll do it for you.

or just hold down the option key while you select "empty trash"
